TERMS
Terms of service
LOCI is built around a simple boundary: your Passport belongs to you, and a place remains responsible for its own truth.Last updated September 5, 2026Using LOCI
These terms govern your use of LOCI Passport, LOCI Place, and related websites, applications, and services (together, “LOCI”). By creating an account, claiming a Place, or buying a subscription, you agree to these terms. You must be legally able to enter this agreement and provide accurate account information.
Your Passport
You retain your rights in the names, memories, preferences, media, plans, phrases, and other content you add. You give LOCI a limited permission to host, process, and present that content only to operate and improve the service you request. A Passport does not prove identity, presence, ownership, or authority.
You control when Passport context is shared. Do not add another person’s sensitive information without a lawful reason and appropriate permission.
LOCI Place
Public Place analysis is informational and may be incomplete. Claiming a Place requires a truthful authority attestation. Place operators are responsible for their public sources, corrections, approvals, and compliance. A detected difference or model suggestion does not become authoritative Place truth without the required review.
Monitoring is limited to public sources you are authorized to submit. You may not evade access controls, source restrictions, or use LOCI to monitor private systems.
Subscriptions and billing
Paid features, price, billing period, trial or promotional terms, and renewal details are shown before purchase. Subscriptions renew until canceled. You may cancel before the next renewal through the available account or billing method; access continues through the paid period unless stated otherwise at purchase. Taxes may apply. Except where law requires otherwise, completed billing periods are non-refundable.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse LOCI, interfere with security, access another person’s Passport or Place account, upload malware or unlawful content, scrape the service, impersonate authority, abuse review links, or use outputs for emergency, medical, employment, credit, housing, insurance, surveillance, or other high-impact decisions. Do not treat generated or inferred information as verified fact.
Availability and changes
We work to keep LOCI available and secure, but the service may change or be interrupted. Features marked preview or coming are not part of the currently available service and may change before release. Live conditions, inferred information, and third-party connections may be delayed, incomplete, or unavailable. We may suspend access to protect people, places, the service, or comply with law.
Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, LOCI is provided “as is” without implied warranties. LOCI is not a travel agent, emergency service, identity provider, or source of legal, medical, financial, or safety advice. We are not responsible for third-party places, providers, source websites, or decisions made from unverified information.
To the extent permitted by law, LOCI’s aggregate liability arising from the service will not exceed the amount you paid LOCI during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so those limits may not apply to you.
Ending use
You may stop using LOCI and request deletion. We may terminate or suspend an account for material breach, security risk, unlawful use, or prolonged nonpayment. Terms that logically survive—such as ownership, payment obligations, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute provisions—continue after termination.
Law and contact
Applicable governing law and venue may depend on the LOCI operating entity and region identified at purchase or account creation. Mandatory consumer protections remain unaffected. Questions may be sent to legal@locipassport.com; billing questions to billing@locipassport.com.
